B.U.D.D. (Demo 2.0 Update)
Wishlist BUDD on Steam!
That's right, BUDD's store page is now live on Steam! The plan is that when BUDD releases on both Itch and Steam, you should be able to request a Steam key if you buy the game from Itch. The Steam version will have achievements, cloud saving, and Steam Deck support.
Even if you plan to buy the game from itch, please be sure to wishlist the game on Steam too! Not only can your steam friends see it, wishlists are used by Valve to see if a game on their platform is worth promoting and I'd appreciate that a ton.
For full disclosure, it does benefit me more if you buy the game from Itch as Valve takes a 30% cut for games sold on their platforms. The Itch version will naturally be DRM free if that's a concern to you.
It still feels weird to me advertising the store page for a different platform here, but I figured it was enough of an update to share with you all! A lot of my time the last couple months has been spent working on assets for Steam and Steamworks integration with the game itself, on top of art commissions. Hopefully now I can get back to work on some new areas and bosses!
If things go well, I'm hoping the game should be done by Q4 2025.

I just discovered the demo earlier and I fell in love with this game, the Wonder Boy/Monster World influence is really strong here and I adore the game's aesthetics and music! The gameplay is rock solid too, smacking enemies around with the sword and chaining it with the little robot pals feels great!
I'm shocked how much content there is in this demo, the classic B.U.D.D. game you had made is also great, the extra character there was really fun.
Immediately wishlisted this, keep up the great work!
